This article looks at the effectiveness of a kitchen garden program in a therapeutic day program for children in foster care who have experienced abusive trauma. Inspired by the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, the study aimed to assess the program's impact on behavior and emotional regulation. The results highlighted four significant themes: development and learning, engagement, behavioral expression, and personal growth. The program was found to provide a safe and nurturing environment, enhancing self-esteem and social connections while helping children regulate stress and anxiety.
