Experts

Sebern Fisher

Sebern maintains a part-time private practice focused on the treatment of adults suffering the aftermath of neglect and assault in childhood in Northampton, Massachusetts. She trains and consults both nationally and internationally in the use of neurofeedback in the treatment of developmental trauma, on the central role of fear in those who have suffered these histories and on the integration of psychotherapy and neurofeedback. She has written and presented two webinars: the first 16-part webinar was called Training Trauma: New Thinking, New Treatment, New Challenges and covered the impacts of developmental trauma on the brain and the integration of neurofeedback with psychotherapy. The second, The Nature of Forgetting: The Treatment of Dissociation, Repression and Regression with Psychotherapy and Neurofeedback was presented in early 2020. She is the 2013 recipient of the Joel Lubar Award for Contributions to the Field of Neurofeedback, as well as the recipient of the 2017 M.B. Sterman Career Achievement Award and 2020 Fellows Award from the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research. In addition to her book, she has published numerous professional articles on neurofeedback and psychotherapy.

Moshe Perl

Dr. Moshe Perl is a world-class expert in neurofeedback and QEEG/EEG analysis, areas in which he has almost two-decades of experience teaching and mentoring practitioners in Australia and internationally. He has successfully treated well over a thousand patients and has seen first-hand the amazing impact neurofeedback can have. Additionally, he has mentored over 100 practitioners in the field and reviewed thousands of cases inside of learning environments that develop and up-skill neurofeedback practitioners. Dr. Perl has studied with many of the recognised world-leading experts in neurofeedback and QEEG/EEG analysis, distilled their knowledge and has become a recognised leader in the industry. He applies his knowledge in clinical practice as well as in his teachings. A hallmark of Moshe’s teaching style is that he makes difficult concepts accessible and understandable for students at any level of skill or knowledge. He consistently receives excellent feedback for his courses, both on and offline.

Inna Khazan

Inna Khazan, PhD, BCB is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in biofeedback and mindfulness-based approaches to optimizing health and performance. Dr. Khazan is a faculty member at Harvard Medical School, where she teaches and supervises trainees. She has over 20 years of clinical experience in helping people overcome various personal and professional challenges. Recognized as a pioneer in mindfulness-based biofeedback, Dr. Khazan is a popular speaker at national and international conferences on the topics of biofeedback and mindfulness. Dr. Khazan has conducted biofeedback and mindfulness trainings for notable institutions in the US and abroad, including the US Navy Special Warfare, US Army Special Forces, and the Stuttgart Opera and Ballet Company. Dr. Khazan serves as president of the board of directors for Institute for Meditation of Psychotherapy (IMP), and board member for the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB), and Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA), where she is currently chair elect. Dr. Khazan is the author of numerous publications including her most recent book Biofeedback and Mindfulness in Everyday Life: Practical Solutions for Improving Your Health and Performance, published by W. W. Norton and the highly-regarded Clinical Handbook of Biofeedback: A Step-by-Step Guide to Training and Practice with Mindfulness, published by Wiley Blackwell.
